You didn’t fill the dark -
you encouraged it.
You didn’t find the light -
you turned it off.
You weren’t the sun -
you closed the curtains.
You didn’t find the emergency generator,
You blew out every single candle,
So I would be in such need,
And there you kept me,
In the dark.
You didn’t fill the dark -
you ignited it.
I scaled the walls for years -
to find the switch.
I was always trying to peek -
through the gap.
I wanted to find just a tiny bit of light,
But how on earth could I with you,
You stood in front of the sun,
So only shadows could live on.
